CGI.pm is probably the most widely used module for web applications and CGI scripts. These days we have much better tools like Plack/PSGI, Dancer, Catalyst and other web frameworks and it's time to move on.

CGI these days is insecure-by-default, slow, annoying, difficult, impossible to debug, ugly, scary, horrible (and any other bad word you can think of) and it's time to KILL IT.

Join me for a talk on why we should stop using CGI, what we should use instead and how to convert away from CGI.
